Places for Kids to Earn Scout Badges

Being a scout is about doing good deeds, learning new things, and acquiring badges to wear on your outfits. If you get enough badges, you get honored, usually in your teens. There are many activities and events that help the scouts earn their “stripes” and among the most popular are planting trees, picking up trash at parks and beaches and helping with civic causes as a volunteer.
Among the programs designed to help youngsters earn badges in a learning environment with lots of hands-on activities is Merit Badge Day at the International Printing Museum in Carson.
