In your Easter Bonnet with all the frills upon it, you’ll be the grandest lady in the Easter Parade.
Right from the songbook of Irving Berlin’s 1933 “Easter Parade”, the theme song for a 1948 musical film starring Judy Garland and Fred Astaire, visitors are invited to step into San Francisco’s Union Street Spring Celebration and Easter Parade on Sunday, April 8, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
From the whimsical to the feminine, this free street celebration and parade features lovely ladies, girls, babies, dogs, men and boys wearing Easter and Spring inspired attire. See handmade Easter bonnets that stand 3 feet high, hats that include nests, eggs, chicks, spring flowers and everything under the sun–make and bring your own–it’s so San Francisco! The parade is held at 2 p.m. All are invited, rain or shine. See: sresproductions.com/union_street_easter.html
