SAN JOSE, CALIF.–Nano Days ended on April 1, but that’s not the end of fun at The Tech (thetech.org), a museum for all ages. From a low tech TOYS exhibit that included Mr. Potato Head, Mr. Carrot Head, and Funny Bones games, to the latest Tinker Tech hands-on science workshop that draws inspiration from Silicon Valley, the toys may change but the lessons are the same.
Like Bill Hewlett and David Packard founding HP in their Palo Alto garage, Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs building Apple computers in a Los Altos garage, or Larry Page and Sergey Brin launching Google out of a garage in Menlo Park, guests discover the loose process of creating involves trying things out, learning from failure, reflecting, and trying again. This leads to great new inventions! It’s an approach that The Tech Museum has always offered.
