Birds Steal Show in California Watchable Wildlife Photo Contest

Outdoor California and California Watchable Wildlife presented the Photo Contest Grand Prize on the South Steps of the State Capitol on Monday, April 23, 2012. California Department of Fish & Game Director Chuck Bonham selected Lyle Madeson’s dramatic image of an Osprey and Red-Tailed Hawk hooked on to a Clear Lake hitch.
California Watchable Wildlife (CAWatchableWildlife.org) is a statewide network of wildlife viewing sites, an iconic “brown binocular” road signing program and website designed to enhance the visitor experience and encourage responsible and sustainable wildlife viewing behavior.
