Memorial Day is a U.S. national holiday held  the last day in May. Designed to honor those who have died in military service, many people observe Memorial Day by visiting cemeteries and memorials or hosting a parade.

The central event for Americans is attending parades held in California’s cities  large and small. Most feature marching bands and an overall military theme with the National Guard and other servicemen participating along with veterans and military vehicles from various wars.  Here are some Memorial Day Parades and events held in 2012.
