Tyson the Skateboarding Dog, An Exceptional California Dude
Mention California and people think of beaches, pretty girls in bikinis (Pamela Anderson – Bay Watch style) and surfers hanging ten as they ride the gnarly West Coast waves next to migrating whales and an occasional shark. It’s just the kind of place you’d expect to see surfing and skateboarding – doggy style.
Tyson the Skateboarding Dog grew up near the beaches of Southern California. The skateboard pro has seen every trick in the book and then a few. He’s been on Oprah, major network news, Martha Stewart and in movies such as Lords of Dogtown and Undiscovered. Tyson has also appeared internationally in productions in Japan and other countries. He even skated on a float in the Rose Parade.
As a youngster, Tyson went crazy every time he saw skateboarders on an a cement bike and skate path at the beach. Barking and pulling with all his strength, his owner thought that he hated skateboards. Amazingly, Tyson only wanted to get on the board and ride.
