Knott’s Berry Farm’s founder, Walter Knott, invented the boysenberry and word spread as guests tasted it in pies sold at the roadside stand in Buena Park and at the Chicken Dinner restaurant which grew to become part of the popular Knott’s Berry Farm theme park. For those who love the taste of berries in jams and pies, Knott’s theme park brought back its springtime Boysenberry Festival which takes place March 28 – April 12, 2015 in the theme park’s historic Ghost Town. The 16-day festival returns with exquisite Boysenberry Bites, dazzling entertainment, the Wine and Craft Brew Tasting Garden, and colorful backdrops for great photos. For those who can’t make it to this special event, you can drop by the theme park any day (except Christmas) and treat yourself to boysenberry pie sold outside the theme park at the restaurant.
