All Hands On Deck in San Francisco’s Busy Week

Published on: October 01, 2012

We received an alert from the San Francisco Conference and Visitors Bureau (sanfrancisco.travel) that this week is going to by a very busy one. In addition to the usual hometown ballgames (49ers play Buffalo Bills Oct. 7,) there are a number of major events taking place. Fleet Week with exciting Blue Angels flyovers and fireworks shows, America’s Cup races, Castro Street Fair, Italian Heritage Parade, and one of the biggest, free bluegrass festivals in the nation called “Hardly Strictly Bluegrass,” all combine to put travelers on alert that the roads and traffic may be extra congested. All are advised to take public transportation into the city, where “all hands are on deck”.
