Amtrak and California Summer
San Clemente, Calif. has lots of vacation rentals, and they also have an Amtrak train stop. Actually, they have two. In Orange County, San Clemente and the City of Anaheim are the only two cities that have two train stations. But only San Clement offers one at the beach — at the Pier Bowl, as it is affectionately referred to. The Pier Bowl’s Ole Hanson sidewalks, iconic wooden pier, and palm tree lined streets are a welcoming site to visitors and residents alike.

San Clemente Ocean Festival in mid-July is free to see.
San Clemente Fiesta Music Festival downtown in August is free.
Other summer activities include summer trolley service, a car show and Paint San Clemente plein air competition in June, and an Arts & Crafts Festival in August. Anytime activities to enjoy are the daily sunsets over the Pacific Ocean — they’re awesome!
