This weekend guests attending a variety of events throughout California will have their wine served or accompanied with just about everything imaginable, straw optional! Wine actually lends itself to a variety of flavors, locations and causes, thus the prominence of California’s 2nd most popular beverage (milk is California’s top commodity valued at $6.9 billion. Grapes are #2 at $4.449 billion.) Though milk continues to be the top “crop”, you seldom see it celebrated like wine is. How many milk festivals are taking place in California this weekend? Uh…none? Here are a few festivals serving wine with Ghirardelli chocolate, Preston Castle in Ione and Capitola Art, to name a few.
