Has salsa replaced ketchup as our favorite condiment? Gustavo Arellano answers that question in his latest book, Taco USA: How Mexican Food Conquered America. The author of ¡Ask a Mexican! column, which invites readers to ask him questions about Mexican American culture, reaches more than two million people in 39 newspapers. At a guest presentation in Ventura on Sunday, October 14, Arellano plans to talk about the America’s appetite for Mexican food and Ventura’s Ortega Adobe, where the famous chilies originated. After his lecture, the author will sign his book, which will be available for purchase.
