People must love avocados! Why? Thousands of avo-fans attend California avocado festivals in Fallbrook, Los Angeles, Carpinteria and Morro Bay. Events at these tasty fests include Avocado Culinary Demonstrations, Guacamole Contest, Avocado Ice Cream, Holy Guaca-Moly, the Art of the Avocado Contest, the Avo 500 Children’s Car Race, and the Best Decorated Avocado Contest. And that’s just at one event in Fallbrook on April 13, 2014. For those closer to L.A. drop by the Los Angeles Avocado Festival on the same day, April 13. After you’ve fallen for Fallbrook, head to the Central Coast in the Fall for Carpinteria’s 3 day California Avocado Festival or Morro Bay’s Avocado & Margarita Festival. Best of all, admission is free to 3 out of 4 festivals. Morro Bay is the only one that charges a fee to get in.
