Best Fireworks in California

In 2015 the 4th of July falls on Saturday. It’s going to be a great year to celebrate! Here are some of the best fireworks displays in California, in addition to the theme park fireworks shows at Disneyland, Knott’s, Six Flags and SeaWorld.

1. San Francisco: Independence Day at Fisherman’s Wharf is explodes with 20-22 minutes of non-stop pyrotechnics, attracting more than half a million people. The celebration kicks off at Pier 39 with live music and at 9:30 p.m. the fuses on the first rounds are lit from Municipal Pier to light up the waterfront for miles. At approximately 9:30pm The City of San Francisco treats spectators to a dazzling fireworks display over the San Francisco Bay, a beautiful sight framed by the Golden Gate Bridge. pier39.com

2. San Diego: Big Bay Boom offers “A Salute to the Military Families of our Service Heroes.” The 14th Annual Big Bay Boom July 4th Fireworks Show is the Largest Fireworks Show on the West Coast, with fireworks launched from four locations in the bay.  Time: 9:00 -9:20pm. bigbayboom.com

3. Long Beach: Queen Mary ship (queenmary.com) throws a big party and great spot to see the harbor fireworks show.  Aquarium of the Pacific which hosts a BBQ, or you can ride on Harbor Breeze cruise and see the fireworks from a safe vantage point riding a boat in the bay! And one more spot that’s exceptional is Belmont Pier where there are hosting a party.

4. South Lake Tahoe: The largest synchronized fireworks display west of the Mississippi kicks off on the southern end of South Lake Tahoe, starting around 9:45 pm. There is also a July 3 Fireworks display at Kings Beach. redwhitetahoeblue.org
