Biggest Event in California This Weekend – Chinese New Year’s Parade San Francisco

Published on: February 10, 2012

Planners say that up to 1 million people have attended the San Francisco Chinese New Year’s Parade in past years.  This year the event begins at 5:15 p.m. at Market Street & 2nd, and lasts approx. 2 hours. Lavish costumes, masks, floats, bands and hundreds of thousands of audience cheers  make this a fun event to see once in your life. The best way to experience if you are not a local is to book a hotel nearby and walk no more than a few blocks to the event. Hotel Nikko is one such hotel within range of the event.
