Hit the Road for 3 Biker Fests

If you know who wrote the song “Born to be Wild” you may be a child of the ‘peace & love’ era — a fan of the band, Steppenwolf — or perhaps you remember the 1969 counterculture film, Easy Rider, in which Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda play renegade bikers. The “wild” spirit is forever tied to California’s biker culture in places such as Hollister, BIRTHPLACE OF THE AMERICAN BIKER. This summer motorcyclists and bike fans can plan for three great festivals where bikers are welcome to roar on down!
- PIERCY: Redwood Run Biker Festival June 10-12, 2016. Event is a Kiwanis fundraiser inviting an adults-only crowd.
- HOLLISTER: Independence Rally July 1-3, 2016. Has a long history dating back nearly 70 years to 1947.
- SAN BERNARDINO: Lost Highway Motorcycle Show and Concert July 23, 2016 is a relatively new urban festival taking place at San Manuel Amphitheater and festival grounds.
