Mary McGee, age 7, gets an up-close look at some butterflies at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park (sdzsafaripark.org) annual Butterfly Jungle which runs through April 7, 2013. Thousands of butterflies dazzle, flit and flutter as visitors walk through the Safari Park’s Hidden Jungle aviary at this North San Diego County attraction, a must-see during visits to Southern California. This year 30 butterfly species come from Africa, Asia, Central and South America with names such as zebra longwing, orange-barred tiger and Grecian shoemaker. In addition to exotic butterflies, see favorites such as the monarch, giant swallowtail and blue morpho. Butterfly Jungle is included with admission to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.
