Cal Weekend Proves that Food is Fun
From Corning Olive Festival bed races to Irvine Lake tomato battles, in California you get to celebrate your food and eat it too! This weekend is a doozy when it comes to scrapping the diet. Swimsuit season is nearly over so go ahead and pork out–you deserve it after starving all summer long! The weekend offerings include cultural feasts ranging from Italian to Greek. Then there’s BBQ, or celebration of California crops such as olives and tomatoes. Culinary talents from local chefs combine with and crafted drinks–wine and beer, to make California’s food festivals a whole lot of fun, and delicious!
