California 4th of July

It’s likely that you’ve made plans for the 4th of July holiday but if you’re still on the fence, here are a few things to see & do in California.  Are you feeling exceptionally patriotic this 4th of July? Be sure to visit California cities and towns that pay homage to our nation. Freedom, California is north of  Watsonville; Independence is on Hwy 395 east of Sequoia- Kings Canyon National Park.

  • Independence Day held every July 4 celebrates the Declaration of Independence signed on July 4, 1776.
  • Colors of the Flag: Red, white & blue: White signifies purity and innocence, Red, hardiness & valour, and Blue, the color of the Chief  signifies vigilance, perseverance & justice.
  • BBQs: 7 out of 10 Californians who plan to celebrate the holiday will attend a barbecue, cookout or picnic – a record.
