California Becomes 2nd State to Celebrate Day of the Cowboy

BREAKING NEWS FROM CALIFORNIA SENATE FLOOR! On Thursday, March 22, 2012, Bethany Braley (Executive Director for National Day of the Cowboy) watched the California Senate, in a live broadcast vote to unanimously pass the National Day of the Cowboy resolution, SCR 70, in perpetuity. This means the 4th Saturday in July will forever be recognized as the National Day of the Cowboy in California.

California becomes the second state to pass the resolution in perpetuity after Wyoming did so on March 13th. Braley is in involved in an effort to get all U.S. states to follow suit to help protect cowboy heritage for all generations to come. Hats off to the cowboy!
