It’s Party Time for California Canine Crowd
Does your pet need a blessing, complete with priest, Holy water and the works? You can do that in Long Beach this October at Blessing of the Pets. Has your dog never surfed? Although the surfing goat sensation stole the show recently, dogs still can surf in style at Huntington Beach’s Surfing Dog contest. And don’t forget the cute little wiener dog dachshunds…they race like mad this fall in Dogtoberfest.
These paw-ty hearty events are just the beginning of celebrations for special causes such as saving dogs from (as one event calls it,) “execution.” Creative celebrations have names such as: Tails at Twilight, Howling Halloween, Bark in the Park, Strut Your Mutt, Doggie Pool-ooza, Love ‘Em and Leash ‘Em, Race for the Rescues, Wiggle Waggle Walk and Woof Stock. Here’s a list of over 30 dog parties coming up!
