They go by names Undead Bettys, Dirty City Roller Rats, and Mojave Rattle Skaters. These normally mild-mannered mothers, wives and daughters, dads & brothers, turn wild when they put on the skates and enter the rink. It’s a show well worth the price of admission if you’re looking for off-beat entertainment to rock your Saturday night. There are more than 80 roller derby teams in California spanning the state from San Diego to Modesto, Eureka to Sacramento, and all points in between.
