California Rose Parade and Rose Festival Dates Set

Because there’s so much publicity and media splash when the huge, annual Tournament of Roses celebration in January marches into Pasadena, the equally stunning roses of Wasco and Santa Rosa are often missed. It’s odd how things work out that way, but not all places get their cards dealt the same, and maybe they don’t mind. For those who can’t get enough of roses, you may notice that they are exceptional and becoming lovelier and more fragrant as spring blossoms into summer.
Here are a few must-see rose events and attractions:
- SANTA ROSA – 119th Annual Luther Burbank Rose Parade and Festival takes place on Saturday, May 18, 2013.
- WASCO – Festival of Roses in the Rose Capital of the World takes place on September 7, 2013.
- SAN MARINO- Huntington Library’s Rose Garden
- SACRAMENTO – Historic Rose Garden
- SAN JOSE- Heritage Rose Garden in Guadalupe River Park
