Candlelight Tours at Mission La Purisima, Lompoc, Calif.

In the Fall each year the Central Coast mission, La Purisima Concepcion (also known as Lompoc Mission or Mission La Purisima,) holds one of its may delightful and heart-warming events, the candlelight tours. This year the event is held on October 11 & 12, 2013, with only a few tickets remaining as of this posting. However, there are other wonderful things to see at the mission, including Founding Day Remembrance to celebrate the mission’s founding on December 8, 1787 on the Feast Day of the Immaculate Conception of Mary. Events for this observation are: Founding Day Mass Sunday, December 8, 2013 – 12 Noon, and Founding Day Concert December 8, 2013 – 7 p.m. Tickets are sold through the website, lapurisimamission.org
