Cars and Stripes Forever

SAN PEDRO, CALIF. — Cars & Stripes Forever is an annual pre-4th of July celebration produced by one of the nation’s biggest ports, the Port of Los Angeles. This year it takes place on Thursday, July 2, 2015, from 5 to 10 p.m. The event features bands performing on 2 stages, over 100 classic cars, Fanfare Water Show every 20 minutes, train rides on the Red Car, a beer garden, a dozen food trucks and the grand finale of the evening, a fireworks show over the waterfront, framed by the gorgeously-lit Vincent Thomas Bridge. The event is totally free and completely fun. The fireworks are expected to blast into the stratosphere at around 9:15 p.m.
