Every year beginning in January we pay homage to famous historical figures by learning about them in our schools, holding government holidays in their honor, and celebrating their great deeds with special events. At the International Printing Museum in Carson, California they celebrate Ben Franklin’s birthday with an amazing re-creation of the man and his famous inventions– such as theories about electricity, creation of bifocals, and advancements in printing. Ben was and did a whole lot more, which you’ll discover as you meet him and watch him explain his concepts. Ben Franklin’s Electric Birthday Celebration (see past event) takes place on Saturday Jan. 18, 2014 with all day printing & tour activities in his honor 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Location: International Printing Museum, 315 W.
