If you are among those who find drinking the recommended 8 glasses of water each day is a little hard to swallow, try to gulp down one or two. They say that drinking water is good for you. If you really hate that effort, spike your drinks with fruits. Strawberries, slices of cucumbers, lemons, limes, oranges or some herbs such as ginger or sprigs of mint leaves will give that water a boost. Avoid sugary drinks such as sodas containing the “franken-food” sugar beet made with GMO (cane sugar is your best choice). You also can try Stevia, a natural herb derivitive sold at most health food stores and some grocery stores. Once you get adjusted to the taste of vegetables and fruits, you may even start drinking juiced beverages that include wheat grass, lime, kale, ginger and berries.
