My sister took my advice last week and went to Mammoth’s Bluezapalooza Festival to see Trombone Shorty perform. There were 72 brewery vendors — she tried only 7. She went by way of Lone Pine, staying at the historic Dow Villa Motel. Traveling from Santa Maria to the concert was a blast — as much fun as the concert, itself, she said. As another friend always says, “Enjoy the journey — the journey IS the reward.” Here are some music festivals to see in California!
