There’s nothing new about dominoes mentioned in Chinese texts 700 years ago. However, the game is reaching a milestone this month when Universal Domino League (universaldominoleague.com) comes to California on March 30, 2015 for a competition with $5,000 in prize money. Anyone can sign up to play in the first of what the league hopes will become an international sports competition. Universal Domino League (UDL) is the first official domino gaming association providing support, services and a safe fun environment for domino players around the world. The Los Angeles Open Domino Tournament sets the stage for the UDL Boxing Classic Domino Tournament in Las Vegas where stakes are high. That event on May 1 pays $20,000 to the winner.
