Fairs Are a Labor of Love
Why are Rylee, Gracie, and Sadie Schnoor standing next to Butterfly, a 237 lb gilt Hampshire hog? These girls have raised the hog to sell at the Livestock Auction on Saturday, May 17, 2014 as a donation to the Chowchilla Fair. The generous efforts of these young ladies and all of the community have helped keep the fair tradition alive! Fairs are more than contests, games and entertainment…they are participatory events bringing communities together sharing common bonds.
