Mother Goose, The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe, Snow White, Hansel & Gretel, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rumpelstiltskin, Three Little Pigs, Ugly Duckling, Little Red Riding Hood and the Gingerbread Man are fairy tales you probably have heard of and recall. Some of these fairy tales are brought to life in Sacramento’s Fairytale Town (fairytaletown.com). Once managed by the city, it is now run by a non-profit organization that does a superb job of operating the facility that hosts 230,000 visitors from over 30 countries each year! The park charges a fee (around $5) for admission, and includes dozens of special slides, climb opportunities and a unique magic key children can buy to open story boxes throughout the park.
