Grape stomping season tied to the wine grape harvest is soon arriving in California. The early birds host their wine stomp events before summer ends, and that’s the story of one event that happens on August 4, 2012–Yorkville Highlands Wine Festival and Grape Stomp (yorkvillehighlands.org).
Every year on a Saturday in August, the Yorkville Highlands Growers and Vintners Association invites the public to visit the scenic hills between Cloverdale and Boonville, approx. 2 hours north of San Francisco. The natural beauty of the Yorkville Highlands in southern Mendocino County enhances the wine experience. Wines are as varied and intriguing as the landscape.
