THE WHITE HOUSE TRADITIONAL EGG HUNT RECREATED AT LEGOLAND CALIFORNIA RESORT!
Egg hunts around the world have been canceled due to COVID-19 but the family theme park built for kids kept the time-honored traditions alive by creating different LEGO scenes in its own version of Washington, D.C. The spring tradition of rolling eggs on the south lawn of the White House was created by President Rutherford B. Hayes and the First Lady in 1878.
Legoland California Master Model Builders created entertaining scenes such as Minilanders collecting eggs from the Secret Service, chicks defending their giant colorful egg, and a bunny rolling an egg that breaks open as children rejoice. The scenes can be found online at legoland.com/llcbuildingchallenge/
Other imaginative Easter celebrations this year include The Bunny Museum hoppy bunny vehicle hoppin’ down Altadena streets in Southern California on Easter Sunday, and civic groups throughout the state bringing Easter Egg Hunts to homes.
