Humboldt Hops
Fortuna, California’s annual Hops in Humboldt is coming up this week on Aug. 22, 2015. One of the most animated beer festivals in California includes funky hats, costumes and no fear over spilled beer since the event is held in Rohner Park. We could have shown you pictures of beach babes at Long Beach Taste of Brews in Shoreline Aquatic Park on the same day, or the crafty crowd at Brews, Blues & BBQs in Napa’s downtown. There’s also Petaluma’s downtown Taste with 60 craft beers or Cherry Valley’s Beer & Sausage Festival with brewing demos and homemade sausages.
Finally at 7 o’clock when Fortuna, Long Beach, Napa and Highland Resort have all shut down, two beer festivals are revving their engines — Huntington Beach’s Rockstar Beer Festival and Lemoore Lions Brewfest. Both events last after dark. Sunday (Aug. 23) offerings include a 2nd day of the Cherry Valley festival plus Trump National Golf Club’s Wine & Beer Festival.
