Luck of the Irish to You on St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Old Sacramento (pictured) takes place on Saturday, March 16, 2019. The lively route (which includes Neasham, Front and J, K & L Streets,) entertains the crowds with pageantry such as equestrian units, Irish dance groups and marching bagpipe bands clad in the finest woolen clan-kilts.
St. Patrick’s Day falls on Sunday in 2019, but the celebrations ranging from parades to festivals and parties, take place over many days. While it’s hard to say that any place is more Irish than another, there are several standouts — Dublin, Calif. and Murphys, Calif. — wear their Irish pride all year long.
