When your sibling or parent dies, the loss can be heart-breaking and difficult to overcome. Jeff Alt’s wife, Beth, lost her brother and was having a really hard time coping. His solution: Take his wife on one the most challenging hikes possible, traveling 218 miles through three national forests in the toughest section of the Pacific Crest Trail in California, The John Muir Trail.
