Lake Oroville Boating Supreme

There’s really only one way to see the splendor surrounding Lake Oroville, and that’s by boat, according to photographer Paula Beehner.  She says that you can see forests, wildlife, speed boats, personal water craft, hydroplanes, anglers catching fish, waterfalls, bridges and blue skies when you’re on the lake looking out in all directions.

Lake Oroville has 167 miles of forested shoreline that forms the rim of the man-made lake created as a result of the tallest earth-filled dam in the country (770 feet high and 6,920 feet across the Feather River.) The Lake is located one mile downstream of the junction of the Feather River’s major tributaries.
