California natives’ favorite escapes–Hawaii and Las Vegas–aren’t just hot vacation choices. They’re also some of the most visited destinations on Facebook. A mere 38 miles from the California border travelers find the Capitol of Sin, Sex and Secrets (not-so-humble Las Vegas,) offers gambling, top entertainment, and the most incredible hotels in the world. Three MGM favorites, Bellagio with its dancing waterfalls, MGM Grand and Aria, the 4,000 room, gleaming steel & glass design by visionary architectural firm Peli Clarke Peli, reached new heights this month. Facebook users sought information and interaction with the resorts, ranking them among the Top 10 in the U.S. Not quite as astounding as the milestone of Facebook reaching 1 billion users recently, the Las Vegas hotels nevertheless see Facebook as one of their best marketing tools to communicate their amenities, attractions and events.
