‘Criminal Minds’ star, Thomas Gibson, joined his family, officials and guests at LEGOLAND California to launch the lighting of at Duplo Brick-made tree. The star who also appeared as Greg in the popular series Dharma & Greg got holiday help from his sons James (13), Travis (10), and daughter Agatha (8) in pulling the switch. A 30-foot tall Christmas tree created out of more than 245,000 forest green Legos includes over 11,000 lights and more than 400 Lego ornaments. During the ceremony, Legoland presented $10,000 on Gibson’s behalf to Haven for Hope, the largest Homeless Transformation Campus in the U.S., which helps adults and children who comprise 25% of recipients.
Holiday Snow Days and new Winter Nights transform Legoland into a magical, winter wonderland with festive entertainment and nightly fireworks Dec. 26 through 31, 2012. Kids’ New Year’s Eve party on Dec. 31 includes a mini-concert in Fun Town during the day and continues with games and special musical performances from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Miniland U.S.A. It features a countdown followed by a huge Lego brick dropping 22 feet and dazzling fireworks that cap off the night!
