In a high-tech world the living nativity is pretty basic–barnyard animals, costumes portraying 2,000+ years ago, and delivery of one-liners, repeated over and over again. The acting gig doesn’t require much preparation or lots of lines to remember. What it does require is being able to withstand the cold, being able to project your voice, and having a passion for traditions of giving — most living nativities are produced by volunteers free of charge. Here are some California living nativities for 2013 season.
