It may be sunny and 80 degrees in L.A., but at Pershing Square it feels like a blizzard–almost. The annual LA ICE seasonal rink produced by the City of Los Angeles opened yesterday, Nov. 14, 2013 and remains open till Jan. 20, 2014. The launch of the 16th season featured a live performance from the star of Disney’s Broadway Musical Spectacular, “The Lion King,” with skating exhibitions by the LA Ice Theater.
Upcoming highlights of this warm season of holiday cheer include a preview of “It’s Christmas, Snoopy!” on Ice on Tuesday, December 3 at 4 p.m. The free “mini” sneak preview performance includes guest star, Tai Babilonia, a two-time Olympian and World Champion. Visitors can also enjoy winter concerts, the Winter Holiday Festival (Dec. 14,) championship skating exhibitions, broomball games, and more.
