Love & hearts banners and other seasonal flags have bumped the San Francisco 49er merchandise to the back after the 49ers lost their critical game on Sunday.
Loyalty runs deep but there were plenty of San Francisco 49’er fans who wanted to kick the can after their football team lost the game last night and a chance to win the Super Bowl next week. Likewise, vendors selling 49er flags, pennants, clothes and hats, have lost out in what they hoped would be a big score this year with merchandise sales sky-rocketing should the 49ers go to the Super Bowl.
When Kyle Williams fumbled the punt of the game, setting up up New York Giants to win with Lawrence Tynes’ 31-yard field goal in overtime, San Francisco 49ers lost by a measly 3 points with a final score of 20-17.
Meanwhile, Valentine’s Day is only 3 weeks away and the bright red V-day flags are the hot ticket item. But they have a shelf life, too!
