Photo: Culver City 3rd Wednesday invites the public to dine & drink cheaper, and have fun!
All throughout California there’s been a Renaissance – artists, creators and merry-makers have found places to gather in downtown areas on designated days of the month. Usually there’s a focus to this creative madness and they normally call it an Art Walk (see list). But some cities don’t have enough art galleries, per se, so their focus is on merry-making, itself, and they simply call it 2nd Saturday or 1st Thursday, or whatever.
Downtown Culver City 3rd Wednesday takes place on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 from 5 to 9 p.m. in a neighborhood that’s always hoppin’ with an original, offbeat vibe. Specials on the 3rd Wednesday of the month can be found at City Tavern, Culver Hotel, Ford’s Filling Station, Fraiche, Goda Yoga, Kay N’ Dave’s, Kirk Douglas Theatre, LaRocco’s Pizzeria and many more.
Billed as Southern California’s best kept secret, Culver City downtown area is a wonderful mix of historic buildings, boutiques, theaters, galleries, and unique restaurants opening on to tree-lined streets. Parking is free in municipal structures for up to two hours, or valet parking is available at three Downtown locations (downtownculvercity.com).
