Jungle Bells is coming to town at San Diego Zoo December 14, 2013 – January 5, 2014. Special light displays, a twinkling trolley ride, costumed characters, carolers and animals playing with their holiday toys all make this a fun event for girls & boys (of all ages.)
In addition to San Diego being one of the top vacations in California during Christmas (SeaWorld, Legoland and San Diego Zoo’s two theme parks are all open Christmas Day,) the festivities never seem to stop. Over at Hotel del there’s the beach ice skating rink, and this weekend on Saturday, Dec. 14, at Historic Old Town you can celebrate Holiday in the Park. All of the museums, stores and restaurants in the park will be decorated, there’s strolling carolers, hay rides by a horse-drawn carriage around the park and more than 20 gingerbread houses spread throughout Old Town San Diego State Historic Park shops and museums. Then on Dec. 15 the candlelight Las Posadas procession takes place at 5 p.m. See parks.ca.gov
