Oxnard Tamale Festival a Christmas Tradition

Oxnard’s annual Tamale Festival (oxnardtamalefest.com) is on its way December 1, 2012, providing one of the tastiest methods of celebrating Christmas on the Central Coast. Part of a full day of activities, the free event includes more than a dozen vendor booths, musical entertainment on an outdoor stage, tamale eating contests and the star of the show, the tasty corn meal cake filled with beef, chicken or chiles & cheese cooked in a corn husk. Yum! In addition to the festival, you can watch the delightful Christmas Parade downtown, Winter Fantasy Music and Light Show, and take a Victorian House Christmas Tour. There are many ways to say, “Merry Christmas”, in Oxnard!
