Palm Springs Follies Calling It Quits After 2013 -14 Season Ends with Last Hurrah

The favorite stage show for visitors to Palm Springs is closing with a showcase presentation that includes Susan Anton and Maureen McGovern during the final season. Palm Springs Follies features dancers and entertainers 55 and older (up to age 83!) who look like they’re 20-40 years younger. The show features lavish, Broadway-caliber production numbers in a fast-paced show. The last season which is fittingly called “The Last Hurrah,” opens November 1, 2013 with its closing performance on May 18, 2014. Follies Producer and Co-Founder Riff Markowitz says that it’s been a great ride for 23 years, but he looks forward to spending time with family, friends and his dog.
