Mid-Century Modern–a Palm Springs look, retro with a modern tinge, has become a rage, especially with the younger generation that’s bringing it back and into their homes and workplaces, according to Craig Hoelzel, who co-partnered with Toni Echt, recently opening Paradise Island Decor. The furniture and home decor store features reasonably priced bamboo, wicker and rattan furniture as well as tropical decor, on the top floor of famous King Richards Antique Center, 12301 Whittier Boulevard.
“I’ve always been a hang-loose-type guy, who loves the desert and beach. When you come down the stairs in my house, you see rattan, bamboo and wicker in my living room. It puts me in a happy mood and I get a relaxed state of mind just seeing it,” Hoelzel says. Read more…>
