Peanut Butter Rail Jam at Boreal

SODA SPRINGS, CALIF. — Volcom’s Peanut Butter Rail Jam 15th annual amateur snowboarding qualifying competition this weekend on Jan. 10 at Boreal Mountain Resort is totally free to compete in (age divisions include 14 & Under, 16 – 21, Girls, and Open/AM) and free to see. Free food (peanut butter & jelly sandwiches?), free drinks, and giveaways will be provided for competitors and spectators alike. The fun begins at 10 a.m. in the high Sierras near the city of Truckee. The top 5 competitors in each of four divisions compete in the $15,000 PBRJ Global Championships at Mammoth Mountain on April 18, 2015. Part of the ‘Let the Kids Ride Free’ initiative, this regional event enables youth to gain contest experience, have a good time, win free cash and prizes, and showcase their talents.
