In Plumas National Forest near Lake Oroville is the dome peak of Bald Rock, overlooking the Sacramento Valley and coastal mountain ranges. The area once was home to the Maidu. They left the rock with many unique features such as grinding holes for preparing acorns and grains. Photo by Paula Schultz.
