Pow Wows Now

There are several fantastic pow wows in California this week. One of them, the Modesto Junior College Intertribal Pow Wow, begins with an opening ceremony in which a U.S. Marine Corps Color Guard carries the U.S. flag and the Strong Heart Warrior Society carries the eagle staff and tribal flags. All ages are invited to this annual event which students at the Modesto JC say liken to a cultural school and a dose of “feel good.”
