According to the City of Costa Mesa website it’s official – Snoopy’s House is back! Rumor was that the Snoopy House might not return due to questions about finances, politics, or whatever. As far as the public goes, it doesn’t really matter what the cause–it would have been a crying shame to cancel it! The City had been a hero in 2011 when the creator of a marvelous children’s wonderland, Jim Jordan, lost his house to the bank. Unable to save his home, he desperately sought to find a home for Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Lucy, Peanuts and the gang’s Christmas. Jordan hand-made an entire village of carved, animated figures beginning in 1967 and each year as it grew, delighted crowds who heard about Snoopy’s House in a neighborhood in Costa Mesa also increased. Here’s the full story!
